Brasa & Chifa

Overview

If you're in Providence and craving a meal that combines the bold flavors of Latin cuisine with the savory richness of Asian-inspired dishes, Brasa & Chifa is the place to be. Located at 712 Admiral St, Providence, RI 02908, United States, this unique restaurant has quickly become a local favorite, blending the best of two culinary worlds in a way that's both exciting and satisfying.

Walking into Brasa & Chifa, you're immediately greeted with a vibrant atmosphere that mirrors the fusion of cultures represented on the menu. The open kitchen allows you to see the chefs at work, preparing a mix of traditional Chifa dishes, a Peruvian-Chinese hybrid, and hearty, grilled meats that take center stage in their signature Brasa offerings. It’s clear from the first bite that this restaurant isn’t just about combining ingredients; it’s about creating an experience.

One of the standout dishes that perfectly exemplifies this blend is their Arroz Chaufa-a Chinese-inspired fried rice that’s both aromatic and rich in flavor. With tender pieces of chicken, pork, and shrimp mixed with colorful vegetables and seasoned with soy sauce and a touch of ginger, it’s a dish that draws you in and leaves you craving more. But what makes this dish, and many others on the menu, truly special is the attention to detail and quality of the ingredients. It’s clear that Brasa & Chifa isn’t cutting corners in their cooking.

Another must-try is the Pollo a la Brasa-a Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken that's perfectly seasoned and cooked to crispy, golden perfection. The marinade, a mix of spices, garlic, and citrus, imparts a smoky, savory flavor that’s balanced by the slight tanginess of the side sauces. Whether you pair it with crispy fries or a fresh, tangy salad, the Pollo a la Brasa is a true testament to the restaurant’s commitment to traditional flavors while bringing in just enough modern flair.

The menu at Brasa & Chifa also boasts a variety of Chifa-inspired appetizers, such as the Siu Mai (dumplings filled with a savory mix of pork and shrimp), which are light yet packed with flavor. These appetizers reflect the influence of Chinese cuisine, but with a Peruvian twist that adds depth and warmth.

For those who love bold, grilled flavors, the Parrillada is an experience you won’t want to miss. A perfect option for sharing, the Parrillada includes a mix of grilled meats like steak, chicken, and sausage, all seasoned and charred to perfection. It’s served with a side of tangy sauces that complement the smoky richness of the grilled items.

What also sets Brasa & Chifa apart is its attention to creating a diverse dining experience. The restaurant caters to a variety of dietary needs, offering plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options. The flavors here are vibrant and accessible, ensuring that everyone can find something they’ll love, whether they’re meat lovers or vegetarians.

Customer reviews of Brasa & Chifa consistently praise the welcoming staff and quick service. Whether you're here for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a night out with friends, the restaurant delivers a memorable experience every time. The combination of fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and attentive service makes it clear why Brasa & Chifa has become a beloved spot in Providence.

The drink menu deserves mention as well. With a selection of craft cocktails and refreshing beverages, it’s easy to find a perfect pairing for any dish. One standout is the Pisco Sour, a Peruvian cocktail made with pisco, lime, egg white, and a touch of bitters. It's smooth, tangy, and offers just the right amount of sweetness to complement the rich flavors of the food.

If you're planning your visit, it's worth noting that Brasa & Chifa has a loyal following, so reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. The restaurant's inviting ambiance, coupled with its innovative menu, ensures that you’ll not only leave satisfied but will likely want to return for another round of their flavorful offerings.

Whether you’re a local or visiting Providence for the first time, Brasa & Chifa is a culinary experience you won’t want to miss. The fusion of Peru and China in one space is not only innovative but truly delicious, offering a one-of-a-kind dining experience in the heart of the city.

We went to this hidden gem a little outside of Providence and it was worth the drive. We ordered the Brasa Tray which came with Chicken, Ribs, Picana Steak, Chaufa Rice, Lo Mein, Fried Yucca and Pico de Gallo. We also ordered a 1/2 Chicken w/ Rice, Beans, Fries, and Corn Salsa. Both Platters also came with a couple of delicious Salsas. All the meats were perfectly cooked and delicious. The Chicken was nicely brined and very juicy. The Ribs were very tender and flavorful. The Picana steak was also very tender. The sides were all seasoned well and nicely complimented the Meats. I especially liked the Rice and Beans. We also ordered the Churros for Dessert, and the Chef was very nice to bring it out after we were done eating so they stayed nice and warm. I normally don't like dessert but these were crispy and fluffy. Overall I was very happy with the meal. I wished this restaurant was in my neighborhood.

Yooo, I ordered the Picana combo and it was mind-blowing like the one I ate in Miami last year! The steak was cooked just right and very tender! Chimmuri is outta world! Yucca fries were perfect. The CHAUFA!!! OMG I'm in love!!! I'd give this 10/5 because it is the must eat spot for everybody!! Go get your food here y'all!

I saw this place from a random Facebook post and found it interesting, so marked it on Google maps. Finally got a chance to bring family here while dropping a friend's kid at Brown. This place is very family oriented. Many families come to enjoy the shared dishes. We ordered a Brasa Tray to share between the 2+2, then added an extra portion of the grilled steak to satisfy everyone's needs. The flavor of the meats are great. The Lo Mien noodles and Fried Rice are as good as Chinese restaurants. The staff is very friendly and explains everything.

I happen to be traveling through Providence, saw this place on Instagram, it was excellent in all ways. The beef was delicious, the chicken and ribs. Yuca and plantains are perfect. Lunch or dinner, I recommend the platter.

Far Surpassed my expectations. Good atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Was underdressed and without a reservation for Los Andes and this did not disappoint!

We got here around 12:30p on Friday, quiet before the 1pm rush. We got the Brasa plate which was perfect amount for 2 people who didn't want to make decisions and hungry. Wonderful food, totally come back again when we're in town.
